Dentline: Bad Breath
Today we’re going to talk about an embarrassing condition: bad breath. It’s not something we like to think about, but it’s also not a condition we can ignore easily. So what causes bad breath and, more to the point, what can we do about it?
What is Bad Breath?
Most bad breath, also known as halitosis, is caused by poor oral hygiene. When you eat, minute particles of food get trapped between your teeth and by tiny grooves and bumps on your tongue. The particles grow bacteria which release a sulfur compound causing bad breath.
